Purple Lipstick

I'm a fan of light make up for daily use. As a mom of two toddlers, mostly I only have just minutes to do make up. Light face powder, mascara and lipstick do me just right. I wear nude lipstick to pick up my girl from school or to do some errands, so I won't look too pale. 

But in time, I found my sorcery lipstick color 👄 that suits me really well. It's simply my have colors of all time and looks bold without much effort. What color you ask? It's Purple Lipstick ! 👾 It's brighten my mood, day and my whole look with less effort.

Here I want to review some of my have and most used Purple Lipstick. I've tried some brands but first thing first, one color that attract me first must be Purple. Then Fuchsia. Then Hot Pink. Other colors can wait.

I personally love matte liquid lipstick. Last longer in my (quite) thick and wide lip. FYI, my skin tone is a bit tan. But hey I'll go for it anytime. Here's my purple lipstick collections, swatches and review:

Sorry I decided to review this color later. Because even though it's purple, It's too dark for the color scheme as seen on my swatches. So I will Review it later my my other dark color lipstick. 

Purple - Fuchsia Lippie Review

Lime Crime Utopia
This was the one that opens my craziness of lipstick. From wearing this color then I knew, that I am made to live with purple lipstick hahaha. Was my 2015 Fave when I was pregnant with my second daughter. Matte finish.

My current fave on 2017. Similar to Lime Crime Utopia with better formula and mini packaging. Mine is travel size, fits my tiny bags. Matte finish.

Colorpop Lippiestix - Grind
Easy to apply because the formula is so pigmented. Sweet fragrance 💞 with a bit glossy finish.

NYX Soft Lip Matte Cream - Seoul
Finally! The color that suits me. Back then NYX have those wide range of normal colors and now they're breaking into the market by creating bold colors. Matte but not drying finish. Kudos!

Maybelline Color Sensational - Hot Plum
This is a gift from a good friend, says this kind of color suits me. Suits me? It's me! 😂 Thank you so much for knowing me, I appreciate it so much 😘 For a classic lipstick, the formula is quite thick and creamy. Glossy finish as seen on picture. Easily transfer. But hey, still worth a try.

Maybelline Hot Plum, classy packaging

I have these two purple sealed Liptick: Kat Von D and Jeffree Star Velour Lipstick in Blow Pony. Maybe on some other post where I've finished all of this lipstick. But I'm tempted to buy Kat Von D shade Ayesha.

My review on the formula, pros and cons for each brand that I wear.

Lime Crime Velvetines

Pro: 
Long lasting formula,bold choice of colors (lipstick for unicorn!), when idealism wins you get Lime Crime. Always pretty packaging.

Cons:
Quite pricey for a liquid lipstick, quite drying if you don't apply lip balm before the velvetines.

Kat Von D

Pro: 
Almost the same as Lime Crime with better formula on the lips so it feels more comfy to wear and not drying. Nice smell also.

Cons: 
Quite price also just like LC, and less lasting formula. It doesn't transfer but faded easily.

Colorpop, Nyx and Maybelinne share the same pros and cons in my opinion.

Pros:
Easy to apply just like classic lipstick, quite cheap, slim packaging but very generous amount!

Cons: 
Easy transfer, easily faded. But i guess it's ok for daily use when you're not going somewhere too long or too far.

One common reason that is sometimes, unreasonable for others. I bought products because I love the owner / founder. Just because they share the same taste, dream, style, as I do. Check out Doe Deere of Lime Crime and Kat Von D. And if you take a closer look, I have different brands and formula but ALWAYS the same color 💜 my signature lip color, maybe? 😋

Garage Sale, Yuk!

Pernah dengar istilah “A Women’s trash is another Women’s treasure”? Iya, maksudnya, barang yang sudah nggak terpakai buat seseorang bisa jadi harta karun buat orang lain. Pernah nggak kamu ke Passer Baroe buat berburu baju vintage, atau ke Pasar Senen buat hunting jaket jeans? Dulu saya seneng banget kesana. Bisa nemu kacamata retro dan syal dengan motif antik, mirip-mirip Versace era 90-an. Beberapa masih saya simpan dan beberapa sudah saya ‘lepaskan’. Entah itu saya beri ke orang lain atau jual lagi di Garage Sale.

Yup, saya sekarang ini lebih senang mengikuti Garage Sale ketimbang belanja vintage lagi. Bukan apa-apa, masih suka kok dengan barang vintage hanya saja udah ga punya banyak waktu buat hunting. Maklum ya.. anaknya sudah dua.

Sekarang saya mau berbagi info how-to do it dan rekomen salah satu event Garage Sale yang cukup rame di Jakarta, dan pastinya paling sering saya ikutin. Namanya Pink Garage Sale , lokasinya di daerah Kebayoran Baru. Di area parkir kantor gitu, dan adanya Sabtu – Minggu (weekend). Setiap saya jualan disana pasti lumayan habis, enak deh pulangnya bawa barang sedikit aja hehe.. Biasanya saya ikutan yang hari Sabtu, karena minggu adalah hari untuk keluarga. Jam 2 siang pun sudah selesai, jadi anak-anak nggak kelamaan nunggu di rumah.

Berikut saya bahas ya, kenapa kita harus ikut /mengadakan garage sale, apa aja yang bisa dijual, dan apa saja tipsnya buat yang baru mau jualan.

Kenapa kita harus ikutan Garage Sale?

• ·      Saya pribadi sih: buat mengosongkan ruangan! Beneran deh, setelah punya anak dua dan pindah ke rumah sendiri, setelah dikumpulin banyak banget barang nggak kepake. Daripada numpuk berdebu di rumah, ya kan?
• 
  
• ·      Letting go of unnecessary things. Pasti ada barang yang kita simpan dang a pernah dipake, cuma karena saying ah, nanti juga dipake. Well, kalau udah setahun masih di tempat yang sama, why don’t you just let it go?
• 
  
• ·      Uang tambahan. Need to say more?
• 
  
• ·      Sejak rutin mengikuti garage sale, saya jadi jarang belanja lapar mata dan lebih suka menabung untuk barang yang benar-benar saya suka aja. Less consumptive, and that’s good.

Apa saja yang bisa dijual? Banyak banget!

• ·      Saya hobi baca dari SD. Kebayang ya tumpukan komik dan novel saya. Setelah dipilih mana yang saya mau simpan, sisanya saya jual.
• 
  
• ·      Pakaian, sepatu, tas, aksesoris, pastinya.Yang kita sudah bosan, sudah nggak trend, nggak muat… pasti ada kan? Keluarkan isi lemari, pisahkan yang mana yang masih dipakai, yang mana untuk diberikan ke orang lain (mungkin mau berbagi dengan saudara kita di Panti Asuhan), yang mana yang mau dijual.
• 
  
• ·      Elektronik, furniture, dan perlengkapan otomotif. Nah kalau ini suami saya yang lebih paham yaa..
• 
  
• ·      Kosmetik. Biasanya kondisi baru tapi kita nggak pakai, yang kita suka beli kalau laper mata.
• 
  
• ·      Barang branded seperti tas dan sepatu. Kalau ini kayaknya lebih baik jual online atau di garage sale yang segmented, seperti Pandora Box Garage Sale.
• 
  
• ·      Preloved bayi dan anak-anak. Wah ini sih ibu-ibu pasti sering ya. Mulai dari baju yang nggak muat sampai mainan yang anaknya sudah bosan, karena anak-anak kan ukurannya berubah terus.

Ini ada oleh-oleh foto dari event Pink Garage Sale yang aku ikuti Sabtu kemarin, 1 April 2017 dari jam 7 pagi - 2 siang. Aku join booth dengan teman biar ngga kesepian hehe. Tapi sampe lupa foto muka sendiri karena lumayan hectic jualan hehehe…

Tips berjualan di garage sale:

• ·      Datang pagi! Atau lebih cepat dari jam yang diinfokan panitia. Biasanya sudah ada yang hunting pagi-pagi, you can’t miss the moment!
• 
  
• ·      Pisahkan barang dengan harga yang sama. Misalkan yang seratus ribu jangan dicampur dengan yang dua puluh lima ribuan.
• 
  
• ·      Display barangmu per kategori. Buku dan aksesoris di meja, baju di koper dan hanger.
• 
  
• ·      Pasang label harga dan tulis di kertas untuk dipajang di meja, biar pembeli nggak pakai nawar.
• 
  
• ·      Pasang harga semurah mungkin biar cepet habis jualannya. Tapi make sure ya barang tersebut memang sudah tidak dibutuhkan. Daripada sakit hati saat ditawar pembeli 😁
