Dear John

Some of inspiring John Lennon's song i love, whole-heartedly..

Woman - John Lennon

Woman, I can hardly express
My mixed emotions and my thoughtlessness
After all, I'm forever in your debtAnd woman, I will try to express my inner feelings and thankfulnessFor showing me the meaning of success
Woman, I know you understand the little child inside a manPlease remember, my life is in your hands, and womanHold me close to your heart, however distant don't keep us apartAfter all it is written in the starsOoh, well Woman, please let me explainI never meant to cause you sorrow or painSo let me tell you again and again and again I love you, yeah, yeah, yeah, now and forever

Sweet and simple song from John to Yoko. The woman herself, that moves his world, being his everything. Below is one of my fave statement from John.  You decide. My fave John Lennon's song, also another one below.. about renewing their love.. I feel so drowned right now and I only have some simple wish.. this two songs explains it all.. only God knows why :)

“But I can be alone without Yoko, but I just have no wish to be. There’s no reason on earth why I should be alone without Yoko. There’s nothing more important than our relationship, nothing. And we dig being together all the time. Both of us could survive apart but what for? I’m not going to sacrifice love, real love for any whore or any friend or any business, because in the end you’re alone at night and neither of us want to be. And you can’t fill a bed with groupies. It doesn’t work. I don’t want to be a swinger. I’ve been through it all and nothing works better than to have someone you love hold you.” - John Lennon

(Just Like) Starting Over - John Lennon

Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, we have grown
Although our love is still special
Let's take a chance and fly away somewhere alone

It's been too long since we took the time
No-one's to blame, I know time flies so quickly
But when I see you darling
It's like we both are falling in love again
It'll be just like starting over, starting over

Everyday we used to make it love
Why can't we be making love nice and easy
It's time to spread our wings and fly
Don't let another day go by my love
It'll be just like starting over, starting over

Why don't we take off alone
Take a trip somewhere far, far away
We'll be together all alone again
Like we used to in the early days
Well, well, well darling

It's been too long since we took the time
No-one's to blame, I know time flies so quickly
But when I see you darling
It's like we both are falling in love again
It'll be just like starting over, starting over

Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, we have grown
Although our love is still special
Let's take a chance and fly away somewhere

Starting over...

Love - John Lennon

Love is real, real is love
Love is feeling, feeling love
Love is wanting to be loved

Love is touch, touch is love
Love is reaching, reaching love
Love is asking to be loved

Love is you
You and me
Love is knowing
We can be

Love is free, free is love
Love is living, living love
Love is needing to be loved

Chloe Sevigny

She was my muse for one of my dossier in college, back in 2005. I just fell in love with her simplicity of style and timeless pretty face. But if you take a look more, she's much more than that. She has been around entertainment industry from the mid-90's until now.

Started as one of the intern at Sassy, one of the hippest teen magazine at that time and become the 'it' girl, indie darling, vintage muse.. you name it. For me she is timeless. See all pictures taken from different eras and she hasn't change a bit. Being so cool and not giving a damn.
What I adore the most is her attitude in the industry she lives in. She stays 'indie' while everyone went mainstream and trying too hard to be noticed or different. Yet fashion industries still wants her as their muse, designer, contributor, and Hollywood still wants her too even not in a blockbuster number.
She collaborate with Opening Ceremony to create few ready-to wear collections. She brings her easy-vintage-eclectic-stylish sense for public to wear.

Modelling for Uniqlo and some make up brands... She also models for Chloe, Miu Miu and MAC to name a few. See her video campaign for Miu Miu F/W 2012 here.

She has been vintage before it was even trendy. She's turning 39 this year. She plays in mostly indie movies like "Kids", "Party Monster", "The Last Days of Disco". For the big screen, she won an award on her role in "Boys Don't Cry". Now she's on HBO's TV series "Big Love", and plays on Broadway Theaters.

For me, she's a role model of constantly doing what you love the most specifically, that made you an expert in it. She enjoys low spotlight and not much gossips. Quiet personal life and still living your dreams altogether as you want it. Money and fame isn't always everything.
Also her style, timeless. She knows what she likes and looks good in. Kinda I-don't-care but really, that guts is what you need in fashion. Kinda cruel but hey, stand up for your personality! Not too flashy, very vintage and 90's, I love.

But hey, I love colors so much. I think Gwen Stefani is responsible for that ;)

Pictures from lots of sources i forgot :( few of them are google, tumblr, RookieTavi's blogOpening Ceremony's web, and Style Bubble

Penny Lane

"Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs
Of every head he's had the pleasure to have known
And all the people that come and go
Stop and say hello

On the corner is a banker with a motorcar
The little children laugh at him behind his back
And the banker never wears a mac
In the pouring rain...
Very strange

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
I sit, and meanwhile back

In Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass
And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen.
He likes to keep his fire engine clean
It's a clean machine

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
Four of fish and finger pies
In summer, meanwhile back

Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout
A pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray
And though she feels as if she's in a play
She is anyway

Penny Lane the barber shaves another customer
We see the banker sitting waiting for a trim
Then the fireman rushes in
From the pouring rain...
Very strange

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
I sit, and meanwhile back
Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies...
Penny Lane"

One of my fave song from The Beatles, Penny Lane. That's what I named this tunic, just like the tune. Fun, colorful, comfy and playful. This tunic is from my 2nd collection 1979 back in 2010. Paired it with some old and new pastel stuff of mine..

I made the tunic in a very limited stocks and it's sold out thank you very much :)
I sent one to Diana Rikasari this cutie pie and this is how she wore it on her post

She's the sweetest blogger I've ever known.. thank u so much Diana :)
