Words Over Coffee.. at 9 pm

Long time no blab, yes?

So my baby is obviously sleeping by now. If not, super impossible  for me to even type. I'm alone in my living room supported by this slow internet, and my sneezing cat is freakin' me out. Hubby kapan pulang????


I've been thinkin' of some new concept and project for my label. I'm about to separate it from the main label.. let's call it 'starr projekt' for a while. It's about my DIY - renewing things - thrift stuff. That's just a personal activity I love besides doing a whole new collection twice a year. Feels like giving birth to another daughter. Not now, please. Then later my workspace looks like an earthquake victim. I throw everything out on the floor to see what's available and be inspired. Designer is selfish and messy? YES. My workspace is never clean? NEEEVEEEERRR....


Why it took me so long to do this? I never share it to anyone but I've been thinking and write down all of it since 2010.. but you see, following your plans isn't as easy as 1 2 3. 


Then I have this sudden urge to buy a new.... PORTABLE SEWING MACHINE!!!!! Yes coz my mom kinda 'having' my old one. Le sigh. 


Then I'm about to launch a mini collection due about September or October. 8 looks, and 4 pieces is done already. 4 more to go. I'm twisting my brain around here and there to design another before lebaran and my worker will be M.I.A.... again.


Btw I'm kinda looking for a partner for my label.. I'm still looking for the right one. I need to share thoughts, ideas and work together. I want to re-concept the whole stuff. Kinda hard to find another soulmate, yes?


Ok my back kinda hurts, I need to lay down.


Anyway.. Anyone wanna buy me a ticket for Garbage's concert in Singapore this August?

NKOTBSB - July 1st 2012

NKOTBOMG !!!!!!


Hysterical young mom here screaming... You guys.. I've waited for this day for I don't know how long.. to see Jordan Knight !! NKOTB is my fave boy band , I have to say THE ULTIMATE BOYBAND since I'm 8 y.o... 20 years later and they're finally having a reunion tour. I queue for the ticket for hours like a teenage fangirl months ago. Yes it's shameless aaiiitteeeee ....


I watch the concert with my good friend Hens, his wife Putri and her sister Retty. 

So we managed to arrive earlier to the venue at MEIS (Mata Elang International Stadium) Ancol, Hens n Putri were having a trouble earlier getting their ticket from a friend. But at the end we can go inside.. if we don't I'm going nuts. My plan to come in to the stage earlier to be nearer is crushed but it's okay...we waited an hour inside i guess.. the stage is like letter T thank god so they can dance-jiggle-flip-sing to my place aaakkkk akkkk akkkkk - fangirloverexcited-----


Then it starts omg omg visuals are playing i don't have a pic here i'm too nervous and excited, i remember it shows all NKOTBSB personal one by one and sudden deaf happened coz all the mommies are screaming...

I'm so stoked! They sang all of their hits and I sang my fals voice & heart away :p . The opening makes my heart beats fast omg.. Especially when Jordan sing my fave "I'll Be Loving You Forever" everybody sings and even the boys are surprised. Don't ask me bout their lyrics I know 'em all :p

Before, I told Hens that I'm not excited about BSB, I won't sing any of their song. I'm here for NKOTB. But it ended I also sing ALL of BSB songs performed hahahahahah. Seriously, even lots of guys (who accompany their girls / wives / pregnant wives) do the singalong too. Their song is so easy to remember, even soncay can sing it. And if you're there you're feel the euphoria too. Hens said "hah, u said u don't wanna sing BSB songs haaa????" hahahahaha "now let me shooow youu the shaape of my heaaarrrtttt" or maybe "quit playin' games with my heart.. with my heart.." or "I don't care whooo you are.. wheree you're from.." ok I have to stop. Better do some karaoke with my girls.

Day 3 in Singapore - May 6th 2012

Today we went to chinatown. It really looks like Passer Baroe in Jakarta. Lots of cheap gifts if you want to buy stuffs for your relatives..great deals. Interesting places to be captured, especially the vihara (is it) and not near from it there's a mosque in Mosque Street. Here religious people lives peacefully, sadly why Indonesian can't?

We walked a lot 'till we can't feel our feet.. It was a public holiday so some stores are closed. Included this "Doorstep Luxury" store that soncay wants to see coz they sell cambridge satchels..


We went to Ann Siang Hill to look for O.M Vintage market that opens on weekend at 2 pm only. Surprisingly lots of people are waiting outside. Sadly I can't take any pic inside the basement, so crowded and lots of vintage goodies i LOVE 'em all. But too pricey for a vintage stuff :(


The area itself is so lovely. Downhill roads, area and colorful buildings reminds me of Ubud. So clean, tiny and lovely.

Then we went to ION one of the biggest mall, i could get lost in there and cannot be found for a week i guess. Random things of the day : there's a black horse inside the mall! it's for an art show, luckily he / she didn't poop / smell... my goodness..

Day 2 in Singapore - May 4th 2012

So I was having a small trip with my hubby to Singapore, just a small getaway. We didn't bring baby Sava because she's too small, 8 months, no passports also. Let's just say it's a 2nd honeymoon muahahaha :p 


Why is the title "Day 2"? Where is "Day 1"? We arrived at day 1 really late at night around 11 pm I guess, manage to take MRT with this heavy big purple suitcase, looking at the map for directions, learning how to use MRT ticketing machine with our sleepyhead, looking for address then walk a lot from the Boon Keng station to The Hive Hostel where we stayed. So we don't take any pic.. So tired!!


So, OK, Day 2.. we went to UNIVERSAL STUDIO as we bought the ticket before via online, we got discounts and vouchers.. well I got lots of pic here, enjoooyyyy ;)

The night later, we managed to look for this Actually Shop at Purvis Street coz we're dying to buy a pair of creepers that I've been craving for since I'm pregnant (omg) I want it for my bday last year, i even checked ebay everyday and still no luck. Soncay said 'sabar..sabar yaaa' for too much but finally.. he mean it. the store isn't that hard to find, small but really edgy i love it. They have 2 stores around the corner, and the shopkeeper is really friendly also. 

Don't you just...die? Wish i could buy 'em all !!! The pink leopard one is my purchase ;p

By the way this just me couldn't help it seeing Mr. Depp THIS big and not taking any pic..even though I haven't see the movie until now. So lame, I know. But Mr. Depp you're one of my everlasting crush... ANYWAY... move along nothing to see here!

Day 3 is next..

Day 4 & 5 in Singapore - May 6th & 7th 2009

Today is the loooongest day of the trip.
First stop is Little India. We wander around with MRT so much. Why can't Indonesia have this proper, clean, organized and neat kind of public transportation? Only God and governments knows why and when. 

Little India have this colorful buildings and stuffs.. We had a heavy breakfast in this modest indian restaurant. Me and soncay are a fan of Indian food. I even bought an Indian party dress hahaha wtf?? U wanna play a bollywood movie? hahahaha. It's in purple and I just can't help it.

Second Stop: We went to meet Abel, soncay's mate from his ex-office years before. Here Abel is doing a medication for his son, Maaliq. She don't trust Indonesian hospitals.. so she moved here for some time. We didn't take pictures.. we just talked and shared a lot, as a young parents with our little family. But here's some pics soncay shot along the way. It's in Pasir Panjang area I guess, reminds me of Cempaka Putih :p

Then we went home passing ..... I forgot what street. This below if I'm not mistaken is Singapore's national library. I would love to read there!! Wonder how much books inside ---- geek detected.

Then we're looking for this Andy Warhol Exhibition that - we thought - held in Singapore Art Museum below. FAIL. It's on the other side of Singapore 'dooooohhhhh big loss as my friends all said it's soooo good :( and we have no timeto go to that place as we don't know exactly where  that is.

3rd Stop: So then we look for MINT Museum of Toys. 15 Sing $ to get in this mini 5-stories toy museum and it's so cool--especially for me toys freaks. Lots of pic I want to put here but the internet connection didn't support me. So sloowwww...

My fave would be the above: Vintage Movie Posters (Illustration) and The Beatles memorabilias.

Soncay super tired from capyuring gorgeous pics and now an expert of bacpacking with GPS... what would I do without this guy.....

Later that night we went to Mustafa Center. I'm telling you guys.. this place is like a Doraemon Pocket. You could find ANYTHING, I repeat, ANYTHING here and it's open 24 hours---- crazy. From candies to cellphone, from perfume to luggages, sneakers to watches.... After that we went to the plaza next to it to have some dinner at The Toast Box. Pic below..

Last day.. finally we met Nicky and her girlfriend, Vanessa, for lunch. We met at Tampines Mall. I forgot the restaurant's name but the food is soooo good. Then I force Sonny to go to IKEA before heading to the airport...


That's the end of my Singapore journey.. Finally went home to see my family and off course I miss Savanna soooo much...
